Here are the presentation notes from my presentation on the last day of DrupalCampLA 2008 (an incredible event, by the way, kudos to the organizers!):

From Business Objects and User Stories to a fully functional test-driven website application

The talk was about this:

  • How do you know what the client wants?
  • How do you know that what you are doing is what the client wants?
  • Prototype in Drupal
  • The prototype becomes the webapp

It outlined the workflow of the basic Agile approach to software development and applied that to Drupal website application development.

The attached file contains the presentation in Open Office and another still used format, plus the views and content type exports of various of the tools outlined in the talk, plus the cck export of a couple of the implemented business objects.

This is all, of course, a work in progress, and will be available in final form with the publication of my Drupal book, Leveraging Drupal: Getting Your Site Done Right, due out in early January, 2009.

Enjoy, and looking forward to your comments!
